A one-day trekking-only trip for those who want to really get stuck into some serious hiking! You will trek to a Shan and Lahu village in the Chiang Dao area which rarely see any foreign visitors!
TOUR DESCRIPTION
We will pick you up from your accommodation and then head out to the trek starting point in the Chiang Dao area. Be prepared for some exertion as you will have a lot of ground to cover to get you up to a very unique and unspoiled Lahu village high in the mountains. This village is rarely sees foreign visitors and is a great example of a traditional Lahu village that still retains much of its culture and laid-back charm. The village also affords great views of Chiang Dao Mountain and the mountain ranges beyond. Lunch will be taken in the village then we will continue the trek towards Mae Mae Shan village. On route, we can stop off at a jungle waterfall for a break and a refreshing shower in the cool waters. On arrival at Mae Mae Shan Village, we will drop into the local school to see how the local hill tribe kiddies are educated then take a walk through the village to the waiting transport to take you back to your Chiang Mai hotel.
Note: school visits are only available during term time

- Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Mai. 08:00
- Drive towards Chiang Dao
- Commence trek to Lahu Village.
- Visit Lahu Village
- Lunch
- Walk to waterfall
- Trek to Mae Mae Shan Village
- Visit hill tribe school
- Drive back to Chiang Mai 17:00
