Experience the thrill of mountain biking on the mountains around Chiang Mai – The mountain biking capital of Thailand! Be whisked to the summit of Doi Pui at a heady 1600m above sea level and then spend your day bumping your way off-road trails through the jungle, pine forest, and plantations. The route is challenging but mostly downhill so a fair level of fitness will be required but will suit a motivated beginner.
TOUR DESCRIPTION
You will be picked up at your Chiang Mai Guest House/hotel and we will commence the drive to the summit of Doi Pui at 1685 meters above sea level. At the top the bikes will be unloaded and the fun begins! 95% of the track is downhill and you will be spending your day bumping your way down off-road trails through the jungle, pine forest, and plantations. The route is challenging but loads of fun. We will wind up the biking at the base of the mountain at the Huay Tung Tao Lake where we will take a late lunch before boarding the transport for the short drive back to Chiang Mai and transfer to your hotel or guest house.

Transport to the top of Doi Pui will be by seated and covered pickup.

All trips are lead by seasoned guides and instructors. All speak English, are knowledgeable bike mechanics, have extensive mountain biking experience and are at home with the local trail system. Guides are always equipped with tools, spare bike parts, 1st aid kit and communication to base.
Have breakfast before you go and feel free to bring some snacks for the day. Drinking water will be provided on the ride. Lunch is provided at the end of the trail. Vegetarian meals are available.

A comprehensive safety briefing is held before every ride and is very beneficial especially for beginners. We are not in a hurry once we start riding and emphasis is on safety. Riders are grouped by abilities so you never have to catch up and better riders enjoy the freedom riding at higher speeds.ull safety gear is provided such as knee pads, elbow pads, helmet, gloves, bike shirts for all rides and chest/back protectors.

Bring your camera, a small plastic bag to protect your valuables and a day pack (if you don't have one we will provide one at the start of the ride).
